United Nations Citizen of the World Award Galas

McCarthy Events Worldwide has, for several years, produced the United Nations Citizen of the World Award Galas, originally hosted by the late Secretary General Kofi Annan, at the UN Headquarters in New York. This annual event was created to honour journalists and to present The Citizen of the World Award. Honorees included Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and Hans Blix.

Private Clubs

McCarthy Events Worldwide set up and managed restaurants and private members’ clubs, including **The Irish Club** in London’s Belgravia and **The Crusader Yacht Club** in Australia. **The Crusader** **Yacht Club** was sponsored by British Airways and entrepreneur Graham Walker to entertain guests and other international sponsors of the **America’s Cup Yacht Race**. During this time the Club welcomed royalty, celebrities and dignitaries.

CHAIRMAN BRITISH CHALLENGE FOR THE AMERICA'S CUP

Food

Clair began her professional life catering for the private dining rooms of prestigious city firms. This was followed by running the kitchen of the unique **London speakeasy, Pasture**.
After establishing her reputation in the UK, Clair worked on charter and racing yachts in the Caribbean, Pacific and Mediterranean providing delicious meals to prestigious charter clients plus catering for 30 racing crew often in high seas.
Travelling and working in so many diverse countries enabled Clair to experience a myriad of cultures, tastes and traditions. Clair brings these influences to the vibrant menus of McCarthy Events Worldwide.

Music

For many years, Clair has been closely involved as Event Consultant for **Isaac Tigrett**, founder and creator of **The Hard Rock Café** and **House of Blues**.
Clair was part of the team at **Ronnie Scott’s** and the management of **The Blue Note** and **606 Jazz Club**. Through these contacts, Clair has access to a wide variety of extremely talented musicians who can be called upon to perform at your event.
